Over the lst 6 months or so I have been working with the lads at Simply Health Recruitment. We have re-branded them with a new logo, and a brand new website. The logo and website design have modernised thier brand look, whilst internally they have also switched to a new recruitment system, Bullhorn. Our plan has been to integrate the Bullhorn system into our new CMS driven site, which has finally come together over the last few months. The result has been a very slick looking site that also does the business on the technical side, linking up with their published jobs to provide lasted job feeds and searchability.
Recently launched a very cool website, driven by the WordPress CMS, for start-up company Quantainia. They focus on providing sophisticated IT and business consultancy and security solutions. The site featured some funky animations within the header sections, and a very clean minimalist design. Business cards were also produced for the team.
My PA Online is a new site that I have just completed designing, it features some lovely typography that symbolise the focus of the business. The site was a vast improvement to what was before, the treatment I gave to the design was some add some interest and personality and to project the right messages to her wide audience.

Did some new creative work for the Somerset choir recently, the project died unfortunately due to hidden forces, but the creativity remains striking – so I thought I might as well bung it on my blog – the project may come alive again in the new year…

Keystone Communications website has just been launched this week, featuring some funky graphics and character designs – each page had the characters adopt different colours and props to add extra interest. The site was designed in collaboration with Jason Harris from Studio 24-7, with whom I worked to create a unique site that has tonnes of personality.
The entire site has been designed using the popular CMS bloggings system, WordPress. I love this platform as I can now offer my clients a superb design that they can easily edit themselves. WordPress makes publishing new pages and editing content a breeze, and I like it because it is pretty flexible in terms of adopting new design templates… everyone’s a winner!

I have been producing a lot of print design work for the Bach Choir over the last months. They are one of the most renowned independant choirs around and regularly hold shows at the Southbank Center’s Royal Festival Hall.
For them I have designed and produced ads, flyers, and programmer covers and hopefully some eMarketing may follow in the future. Catch them at their next concerts by visiting their website: http://www.thebachchoir.org.uk/

Just completed a new WordPress website for a bar in Chelmsford, call the Smithsbar. A colourful venue catering for an alternative crowd, the design featured a rich mix of black and a vibrant red with a flock wallpaper background, designed in collaboration with Jason Harris from Studio 24-7. I have now handed the site over to him, with a easy to follow tutorial, for him to add the content himself.
I have just completed another website to go alongside three others to form a family of sites for Honeybee Recruitment. Mercury Medical Locums follows the same the design style as the previous three sites create by myself, for Honeybee, with a simple colour scheme and font style change.
The sister companies, Just Dental Healthcare, Hydra Healthcare and Military Medical, which have their own colour schemes and logo but the same site structure and concept as Mercury Medical Locums.

New website for a local nursing home. A simple, easy to read design with an in-built blog. The latest new section is run by WordPress, which is fed via an RSS feed into the side bar on the main static pages – so they are constantly updated. Within the blog section we have activities lists, for both homes, which the staff can easily update each week.

Been helping out a mate of mine with organising our local carnival which has led to a really fun concept. Using the theme ‘Food Glorious Food’ I had the idea of using ‘onomatopeas’ to describe the different varieties of foods and tastes – using icons or photos would be far too cheesy for my liking – using different fonts also helped liven up this idea which looks great and is not the sort of thing you’d expect from a local event.
I have now handed the design and concept over to the Fleet Carnival team to run with and from my concepts they have been able to produce the marketing campaign themselves…. including posters and the website.
Here’s the work:

Just launched a new logo and website design for Megnet, a reseller for components in the technology sector. A very edgey, techie feel to the site and logotype which is quite a contrast to the other project I am working on – a website for a home for the elderly – no whizzy techno graphics in that one

My kids have some parties coming up, for their birthdays, and I decided to design them some funky invites to show off to their mates with. Used Photobox to print them, very cheap and a decent print finish has put smiles on their faces! The designs have also been printed onto mugs for them too, as prezzies – if you have a kids party coming up and fed up with the dreadful invite selection of the high street – give me a buzz!

I have been working a lot recently on designing, and tayloring, themes for Word Press. Recently published is a theme for a felloe editorial designer who works in Essex. For him I designed his entire site using Word Press, mixing dynamic pages (his posts) with static pages (his home page, portfolio plus others…) into which I was able to integrate some animnated Flash elements to give his site some ‘zip’. Word Press is very intuitive to use, adding new posts, uploading pictures and information is just so easy – and combined with my skillful theme design, you can have a bespoke blog in a matter or weeks.
If you are interested in creating a blog and would like me to design you a ‘bespoke’ theme or you maybe you want a cost effective CMS system to drive your website then give me a buzz, Word Press may just be the answer.

Slick, modern site for an audio visual specialist. These guys are specialists at designing and installing bespoke, top of the range audio visual systems in homes and offices. Their products range from home cinemas to ipod stations in children’s bedrooms to total security and environment control systems that use one smart keypad to control the entire house.
A slick, spacious and contemporary design fitted them perfectly, with minimal type contrasting with the beautifully shot photography.
The key to this design, for them, was to create animated picture sequences that are easily updated by themselves. The Flash files cleverly draw in the shots from pre-determined photo folders, so now the team at air av can replace any shot they like quickly and easily. This is essential for a company who needs to stay at the fore front of technology.
New identity for a new events agency, ran by Lucy Bond. I have designed her a new set of business cards and the website has just gone live. It is a simple, clean design with a home page that draws in randomly selected photos so each time you land on the home page it looks different.
Flash driven website for artist and illustrator Jove Tocher.
Jove is an outstanding children’s illustrator, contemporary inspired artist and graphic designer. She wanted a website that would push her work forwards giving her a clear and distinct personality.
Using Flash technology enabled me to utilise the whole screen to showcase her imagery, featuring background graphics that reflect her work.
We have some fun and bizarre shots of our kids over the years, some of them have led to be used in some of my projects including the one below, take as many photos as you can is the best advice….
